SegaWorld is located in Trocadero, Piccadilly, Central
London, at the heart of the city. It is a great
fun for kid's and adult's with the latest amusement arcade
machines, bumper cars and rides! The London Trocadero is
situated on the site of a 19th century music hall. Previously
a hotel, the current building has recently been covered
into a mass of neon, chrome and entertainment attractions
that make it the largest indoor entertainment complex in
Europe, filled with shops, restaurants and high-tech attractions.
Entertainment in SegaWorld, Trocadero
Charterhouse has worked on a number of projects within
the prestigious SegaWorld entertainment centre in Piccadilly.
This project was the first of its kind in the UK and incorporated
high tech video games, rides and a rocket escalator, known
to be the longest in the country. The services concisted
of high air conditioning content, complex control systems
and fully integrated fire strategy. As well as the main
major refurbishment of the building prior to opening of
the centre, Charterhouse has completed the Dodgem Ride,
Marco's Restaurant and the Drop Ride, known to be the first
indoor ride of its kind in the world.
Turbosound System in SegaWorld, Trocadero
The impact of the videowalls in London's latest leisure
attraction in boosted by a Turbosound system. The Trocadero,
bang in the middle of central London, Piccadilly Circus,
is a unique combination of shops and entertainment, which
has its centrepiece the UK's first virtual reality arcade,
SegaWorld. A huge 108-screen video walls stands in the central
atrium of the 9-storey building, complemented by a muscular
system made up of 4 Flashlight TFS-780H cabinets and 4 Floodlight
TFL-760Hs skeleton loudspeakers. This multimedia installation,
provided by the venue's AV contractor Electrosonic, delivers
a full blooded light, sound and laser display as pre-show
entertainment for visitors entering the SegaWorld. Fifteen
different audio-visual sites have been installed around
the Trocadero, and to provide top-quality audio for entertainments,
Electrosonic has used a variety of Turbosound mini-rigs,
including Impact 120s, TCS-612s TXD speakers. More than
enough to stimulate the anticipated 16 million visitors
a year.
Visiting SegaWorld, Trocadero
Trocadero open: Sunday to Thursday 10.00am to 00.00am,
Friday & saturday 10.00am to 01.00am. From Georgian House
Hotel you can walk to Victoria station and get a bus No38,
which will get you to Piccadilly Circus. Once you are there,
Trocadero is just 2min walk away. It is unforgetable experience,
especially for kids!
