The world's busiest international airport.
Heathrow Airport, London
Heathrow Airport is the world's busiest international airport. Heathrow is also the world's second busiest cargo port. Regarded as the hub of the aviation world, over 90 airlines have made Heathrow their base.
The Government had announced its decision to approve the building of Heathrow's Terminal 5 on 20 November 2001. T5 allows Heathrow to maintain its position as Europe's leading international hub airport and provide much needed state-of-the-art facilities to help meet the future demand to fly.
Heathrow is the most important employment centre in Europe with 68,000 people employed directly on-airport and 245,000 jobs created nationally, contributing over £5 billion to the economy in just wages. T5 has safeguarded around 16,500 jobs and created over 6,000 construction jobs.

To guarantee high quality food and exceptional value for money you'll find a mix of brand names famous the world over and alongside new and interesting concepts, offering everything from coffee the way the Italians drink it in Costa Coffee or a pint of real ale in the Tap & Spile pub, to a classic French menu in Chez Gerard or the finest wine and seafood at the Caviar House Seafood Bars.
