The classic rooms are top of the range of rooms that we offer. They are quiet and comfortable, and fully equipped. You are welcomed to these very nicely decorated rooms with complimentary wine and a carefully selected choice of teas and coffee. All rooms are equipped with a full range of digital freeview television channels including 24 hour international news and sport. The rooms also have DVD which will play music CDs, room safes, well lit work stations, radio alarms and en-suite showers. The classic rooms are situated in the main Georgian House and also in the Bower House.

Beds: this category of room is available as a single : with 1 large single bed (4ft x 6ft 3in 120 x 190cm) a twin: with 2 single beds (3ft x 6ft 3in 90 x 190cm) a double: with 1 double bed (4ft 6in x 6ft 3in 135 x 190cm) a triple: with 1double bed and 1 single bed (3ft x 6ft 3in 90 x 190cm, 4ft 6in x 6ft 3in 135 x 190cm) a family room: with 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed (4ft 6in x 6ft 3in 135 x 190cm, 4ft x 6ft 3in 120 x 190cm) or a family room for 5 or 6 people. ( If you require a large family room for 5 or 6 we suggest you contact the hotel for assistance)
Bathrooms: most of the classic rooms are equipped with shower and toilet. However, a room with private bath and toilet, or larger shower and toilet is available on request. (Average size 100cm x 300cm)
Seating: desk, chair or stool, and sofa (note: not all classic rooms have a sofa, so if you would like one please request when making your booking - subject to availabilty)
Occupancy: If the number of guests travelling exceeds the maximum occupancy stated, please book more than one room, or contact the hotel for assistance.
Internet: 24 hour broadband connection available for free. You will need an Ethernet LAN cable (standard Cat5e cable with RJ45 connectors) although wireless connection is available in some areas of the hotel. If you are travelling without a PC then they are available to use at reception for a small fee.
Breakfast: complimentary full English breakfast served in the dining room between 7.30am and 10am ( 8.00am – 10.30am on Sundays)
